Biography
Welcome to the website of Paméla Emanuela Pelupessy.
Paméla Emanuela Pelupessy (born 1973 in Tiel, the Netherlands) is a self-taught, independent visual artist who currently lives and works in Eindhoven. She creates colorful, surreal acrylic paintings in which faith, nature, and a sense of wonder come together.
Her work evokes feelings of joy and playful curiosity, while also inviting the viewer to reflect on God, life, and our interconnectedness.
Paméla is shaped by the two cultures in which she was raised: Dutch and Indonesian. This cultural background is reflected in her tropical use of color and graceful forms, giving her work a distinctive and recognizable character that also resonates in her texts and visual language.
Her paintings are mysterious and layered, encouraging viewers to pause and reflect on their own emotions, thoughts, and the stories a work evokes—stories that are often different from her original intention.
Paméla says about her work:
“I like to decorate walls with visual stories,
inviting people into conversation, wonder,
and deeper human connection.”
